My Safety Plan

When you feel distressed or suicidal, a good safety plan will support you and help you to manage feelings and emotions which can be overwhelming. It will also remind you of those who you can call in a time of crisis and remind you that you are not alone.

When you complete your safety plan you may want to seek professional support, use a support service or ask a friend, partner, spouse or loved one if they could support you. Remember, if you become overwhelmed, a safety plan does not need to be completed at one time, you may prefer to complete your plan over a few sessions. Everyone is different and you should do what is right for you.
